COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

We, our advertiser customers, and our service providers use cookies and other similar technologies (such as tags and pixels, locally stored objects, software development kits or SDKs, and mobile device IDs such as Identifier for Advertising or IDFA, Google Advertising Identifier or AAID) to collect information automatically from people’s devices.

When we operate our Reset Digital Pages, cookies and similar technologies help in a variety of ways including the following:

  • to help us operate the Reset Digital Pages, including identifying which pages are viewed more than others and
  • to help us improve the Reset Digital Pages.

We may also use cookies on our Reset Digital Pages that are essential to making our pages work.  For example, we may use cookies to record a user login, manage user sessions, authenticate users of our management apps, or adjust settings and functionality on the pages.  Without these cookies, we may not be able to provide the services that are necessary for you to be able to use the pages, such as signing into your account.

When we operate our platform, cookies and similar technologies help us in a variety of ways including the following:

  • to ensure ads are displayed properly,
  • to store ad delivery and reporting data for our advertiser customers,
  • to perform advertising and analytics functions such as showing ads to you based on your interests,
  • to track users’ responses to ads (e.g., did the user click on the ad), and
  • to limit the frequency of showing the same ad to you.

We also use cookies to store your choice to opt out of interest-based advertising,

Cookies: A cookie is a small data file that is stored on your computer’s or mobile device’s memory.  Cookies are used to collect information about how you interact with websites or advertisements. Cookies also save information so that websites can remember preferences you had or recognize (e.g., if you save your log in information, a cookie is set to remember you).

Tags, pixels and web beacons: Tags, pixels and web beacons are electronic images that are placed on a web page or in a mobile application and may be associated with cookies on your device. Some pixels are used to drop cookies.  Pixels can help us count users who have visited our Reset Digital Pages, determine the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and analyze usage patterns (e.g., how people interact with websites or advertisements). We create and use a synchronization system to check the quality of information that we have collected with information that our advertiser customer collected independently, and to help our advertiser customers provide you with targeted advertisements.

Software development kits: Software development kits or SDKs are blocks of code or algorithm similar to tags and pixels that are embedded into a digital resource that allows us to track certain information related to the application use, gathered during the process of utilizing our Platform. Digital properties can include SDKs in their apps to enable ads to be shown, data to be collected, and related services to be implemented.

Locally stored objects: Locally stored objects are based on pieces of code.  Locally stored objects, such as HTML5 web storage, contain different types of data than browser cookies. We use locally stored objects to assist with ad inventory delivery, to provide reporting to our advertiser customers, and to evaluate the quality of ads.

Mobile device identifiers: Mobile device identifiers or mobile device IDs (such as Identifier for Advertising or IDFA, and Google Advertising Identifier or AAID) are unique identifiers which can be used to identify a mobile device. We may use these device identifiers to track your use of mobile applications and to determine if a piece of ad inventory has been delivered to a specific user or retargeted, or to determine the frequency of certain inventory for a certain user. Ultimately, passing mobile device IDs back to our advertiser customers helps us and our advertiser customers to improve the quality of advertising and its efficiency.

Social Media Cookies

Social media platforms may store cookies and similar technologies on your device if you use the social media platform’s sharing button or widget on our Reset Digital Pages. Third parties (such as social media platforms) may also use cookies or similar technologies on visitors of our Reset Digital Pages to serve interest-based advertisements to such visitors based on their privacy policies, when those visitors visit other websites and mobile applications.

Third party cookies and technologies

The collection of information through cookies or similar technologies by third parties (including social media platforms) is governed by such third parties’ own privacy policies and principles, which Reset Digital does not control.

Do not track headers: At this time, we do not honor “Do Not Track” headers and similar mechanisms.

To opt out of the use of these technologies above, see “Choices and Opting Out” below.

For more information about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set on your device and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org and www.youronlinechoices.eu.  To read about your choices with regard to Reset Digital’s and third parties’ uses of cookies, please see “Choices and Opting Out.”

CHOICES AND OPTING OUT

If you are located in the European Economic Area, including Switzerland, and visiting a digital property, we support the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (the “Industry Framework“) to provide you with dynamic transparency into and choice about the various third parties our advertiser customers use to serve you ads, including ourselves. The Industry Framework is designed to allow a digital property the means to choose which vendors they wish to allow to access your device and process your personal data and provide dynamic transparency and choice to you about each of these vendors (either an opportunity for you to consent to the vendor or opt out of data processing by the vendor depending on that vendor’s legal basis and use of your personal data).

Opting Out of Marketing from Reset Digital

You may opt out from receiving email communications from us (or opt in, if required by applicable law). If you no longer want to receive marketing-related emails from us on a going-forward basis, you may opt-out of receiving these marketing-related emails by contacting us at privacy@resetdigital.co or by clicking on the opt-out link within the email message that you receive from us.

Please note that if you do opt out of receiving marketing-related emails from us, we may still be required to send you administrative messages relating to the Reset Digital Pages or Platform from time to time.

Some third parties use cookies when you visit our Reset Digital Pages. They have opt out mechanisms either directly from their website or through an industry-developed web page.

If you go to optout.aboutads.info or www.aboutads.info/choices, you can learn how to exercise choice regarding the collection of information about your online activities over time and across multiple third party websites, online services, devices, and applications for interest-based advertising purposes.

HOW WE TRANSFER INFORMATION INTERNATIONALLY

The information we collect, is transferred to and maintained on servers or databases located in the United States, where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your location. We process and store information in any country where we have facilities and/or employees, or in countries where we engage service providers.

You consent to the transfer of your personal information to, and the storage and processing of your personal information in, the United States and any country where we have facilities and/or employees and in countries where we engage service providers, which may have different data protection rules than those of your country of residence.

These countries (including the United States) may not provide an adequate level of data protection for your information (as determined by the European Commission) or have data protection or other laws as comprehensive as those in your country. The European Commission has approved the use of “model clauses” as a means for ensuring adequate protection when transferring data outside of the European Economic Area (including Switzerland). In order to provide adequate protection for the transfer of personal information from the European Economic Area (including Switzerland) to the United States, we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (controller-to-controller or controller-to-processor, depending on the context) (the “Model Clauses”) regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information. To learn more about the Model Clauses, please visit https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection_en.

Reset Digital commits to resolving complaints about our collection or use of your personal information of European Economic Area individuals (including Switzerland). Such individuals who have inquiries or complaints under the Model Clauses should first contact Reset Digital at privacy@resetdigital.co or:
